01. What We Do
Do you shoot video?
Nope! Just photos. :) But we’d be happy to refer some of our all-time favorite videographers from our preferred vendor list.
Do you shoot film?
Yes! We include at least two rolls of 35mm film in every wedding package and at least one roll in any pre-wedding session. We also edit all of our digital work to loosely emulate film colors and grain.
Do you shoot family sessions?
Yes & no. Being the sentimental fools that we are, it’s an awesome privilege to photograph a wedding day and then be invited to capture the rest of life’s milestones for the same family. In order to honor the folks who have already invested so much time & trust in us, family sessions are reserved for former clients only.
What film camera do you use?
We shoot with a variety of 35mm cameras. The Nikon F5 is what we typically bring to weddings, but we also shoot with a fully manual Nikon FM2 as well as a few point-and-shoots like the Olympus mju II and a Fujifilm Super Mini. If you’d like more novelty toy cameras to be used for your photos, we can always bring along our Nishika 3D or Holga 120. And if you dig a good polaroid, we have a sweet Impulse straight from the 90s that we’d be happy to bring along.
What film stock do you prefer?
Most of our weddings are shot on Portra 400 & 800 color negative 35mm film because it yields a super clean and soft look. For black and whites, we love Ilford HP5 and Kodak Tri-X 400. If you’re a film junkie and want us to use a different film stock, just give us a heads up so we have ample time to stock up on it in time for your event.
How long have you been shooting weddings?
We shot our first wedding in 2015 and have been consistently booking them ever since. As of right now, we’ve photographed over 150 wedding days.

How would you describe your photography approach and style?
Our approach to photographing people prioritizes human connection over anything else. Of course, we love powerful editorial images & thoughtfully designed weddings — who doesn’t? But what’s most important to us are photographs that make you
feel
. Wedding days are the only day you’ll ever have all of your favorite people under one roof, celebrating love with you.
Rarely, if ever, are the staged photographs the ones that get printed & hung up in your home. The photographs that are the most loved are the ones that feel lived in, the ones that remind you of your dad’s voice, the way your grandmother’s hands felt holding yours, or the unanimous buzz of your guests when you join the dance floor.
The best photos end up being unscripted, unplanned,
real things that happened without our direction.
I'm nervous that we'll feel awkward and look uncomfortable. How can we avoid that?
The photos that turn out the most beautiful, sentimental and heartfelt were created with couples & friends who felt the exact same way as you. If you want proof, read
our favorite reviews here.
More than interfering with the flow of the session and posing you for the “perfect photo”, we encourage a lot more room for playfulness & mindfulness during portraits. Even when your photos look cinematic or editorial, the comfortable atmosphere during our shoot together remains the same. We definitely prefer to take our time and seek out the best lighting with you vs. burning through pose after pose.
We will provide direction & give cues if needed, but your dynamic, chemistry, and interaction with each other (and your guests) is something that we absolutely
cannot
direct or create. All we can do is observe intently & bring an open heart into the mix. And all we ask of you is that you trust us, our directions, and our ability to let a moment unfold without interference.
Is there anything we should keep in mind while wedding planning?
Prioritize being present. Your wedding day is a direct reflection of how deeply you love your partner and the people who support you. Do whatever you want on your wedding day and make sure you’re mentally there for every bit of it.
In terms of venues and lighting, look for areas that feature even, natural lighting. 35mm film in particular worships sunlight. So spaces that are well lit by natural light sources (whether it’s outside in the daylight, or indoors near lots of big windows) will yield colorful photos that are true-to-life. When it comes time for evening photos, we have our flash system down pat for the best reception & party shots. Just look through any of our wedding galleries and you’ll see what we mean!
Should we hire a planner?
Yes yes yes. Consider hiring a planner, even if they’re just there to help you for the month of the wedding. They will be your wedding day stress sponge. A good event planner will bring your vision to life, advocate for you, and help you stay mindful throughout your wedding day.
Note: A
venue coordinator
is not a wedding planner. They will advocate for the venue first, and you second. A
wedding planner
will assist in organizing your day as well as advocate for your needs to fellow vendors. An
event designer
is someone who deals with the creative aspects of your wedding vision, and often wedding planners will offer this in their package.

How do we book our wedding?
When you're ready to secure your date, there is a $1000 non-refundable initial payment (no matter which package you decide to go with). If it hasn't been paid, you haven't booked your date in our calendar. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding day, and can be paid in installments or all at once.
Where are you located?
We’re based in Orlando, Florida and we travel anywhere & everywhere to work alongside couples and friends.
Do you travel? How much will that cost?
Definitely! We honestly prefer it! Travel fees depend on the location the wedding. Lodging, roundtrip airfare, and rental car fees will all be discussed prior to booking your wedding date with us so you know exactly how much you’ll be spending. We book all of our own travel arrangements. In terms of international weddings, our passports are up to date and ready to go!

When will I see my photos?
You’ll receive a sneak peek for weddings within the first 2 weeks. Pre-wedding sessions do not include a sneak peek. Our turnaround time for editing your full wedding gallery is 6-8 weeks and 2-4 weeks for pre-wedding sessions! As soon as we finish editing your images, they are uploaded to your digital gallery and sent to your email!
How many photos will we receive?
It definitely varies! Depening on how much coverage you've booked, weddings range anywhere from 400-1200 images. For pre-wedding sessions, you can anticipate anywhere from 80-120 images. If we end up shooting more photos than anticipated, we will never withhold any additional images that turn out good. Whatever meets our standards as a meaningful image will be edited and sent your way.
Can we print our own photos?
Most definitely. Every contract includes the personal printing rights of your photos. You can also print/download high resolution images straight from your online gallery, if you feel so inclined.
How are my photos delivered?
Your photos will be delivered digitally through a custom online gallery via
pic-time.com
